The Community Living Program has been operating since 1983 providing quality service to adults with a developmental disability in White Rock and Surrey. Qualified Life Skills Instructors provide both group and 1 on 1 life skills training and support to individuals in their homes, community and at the Life Skills Centre. Training/Support are provided to help individuals live independently or to make them more independent in their present living situation. The SAS Program also offers Drop-In services to people who are living independently, but need occasional help with things such as budgeting, completing forms or personal income tax returns to name a few. Drop-In sessions can be booked with a qualified Life Skills Instructor by any person enrolled in the SAS Program. |

The SAS Day Program is an innovative Day Program that runs Monday - Friday from 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. in the LIFE SKILL CENTRE. All program staff are highly qualified to provide support to adults with a variety of special needs. The focus of the SAS Day Program is to provide meaningful recreational and social activities. Participants are supported by staff to produce these community events. Each event is self-funded and are not intended to make a profit. All of the events are open to the public and are held in community facilities.

SOCIAL GROUPS The SAS Program has 3 monthly social groups held in the evenings at the Life Skill Centre. Friendship Club The 'Friendship Club' is held on a Tuesday evening. It is for 18 - 25 year old's with a developmental disability. Social Network Group The 'Social Network Group' is for all ages and held on a Thursday evening. Surrey Self Advocates The Life Skills Centre is also a home to the 'Surrey Self Advocates'. They have their dinner meetings on Wednesday evenings once per month. |

Human Relations Course Human Relations Courses are taught in a classroom setting at the Life Skills Centre. |
